Best times for the views

Views towards the Golden Horn and Galata are best at sunset, and views towards the Bosphorus and Üsküdar in the morning light. In summer the air can be hazy at midday. For photos without crowds, be on the squares before 9:00. Although some han rooftops are famous on social media, they are not official viewing terraces and have no railings; on this route we have included only safe, publicly accessible spots.
